The area has gentle, rolling slopes and tree-lined runs for all the family. Nestled within the trees are a number of traditional style restaurants. For those wanting more of a challenge; the black run “Le Kandahar” was the setting for the World Cup Downhill January 2003. Le Brevent-La Flegere are two areas interlinked giving easy access from the centre of Chamonix, to a massive skiing area. The sunny slopes offer good intermediate skiing with long red runs and fantastic easily accessible off-piste. There are also incredible views of Mont Blanc. Les Grands Montets is truly the home of “The Steep and Deep” with a well-deserved reputation for incredible off-piste, Les Grands Montets guarantees an amazing day on the slopes. With a vertical drop of 2000m to the valley floor and skiing through the trees, you can really push yourself to the limit! Le Tour is at the top of the Chamonix valley with wide open cruising pistes make Le Tour perfect for beginners. Gaze down upon the whole Chamonix as you glide down the gentle slopes, or enjoy the endless powder in the back country of the tree lined runs down into Switzerland. Nursery slopes are found at the bottom of each of the main areas described above area number of easily accessible, beginner-friendly nursery slopes, where you can gain the confidence to tackle the more challenging pistes further up the mountain.
